Liberal Party of Canada candidates, 1940 Canadian federal election

Wetaskiwin: Walter Stephen Campbell

Walter Stephen Campbell (September 1884-?) was born in Collingwood, Ontario, and was educated at the Collingwood Ontario Collegiate. He began a partnership in an Edmonton bakery and grocery store in 1906, and served as president of Alberta Fish Co. from 1916 to 1923 and president of the Canadian Coal Co. from 1921 to 1926. He became president and CEO of Wainwright Gas Co. in 1926, and held the position for more than fifty years.^[1]

Campbell was a Liberal Party candidate in two federal elections.^[2]
